Metaldehyde is very harmfull to wildlife after the slugs have taken the bait, hedgehogs & birds often eat them which kills them too.
With the introduction of Ferric Phosphate pesticides which do not cause harm to wildlife but do kill the slugs effectively on the market it was high time that metaldehyde use was banned!
