We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to abolish charges to women when changing name on passport after getting married. More details

Why must women pay the full cost of a new passport when wanting to change their name on their passport after getting married. There is also no reimbursement for years not used on passports when a name change occurs. Men will never have to pay this charge while women take on their husbands' surname. It is sexist and extortionate. We ask the Prime Minister to abolish this and look at reorganising the way this issue is dealt with at the passport office.
