There has been many popular petitions submitted to this website, the response to those petitions by the government has always been excuses as to why the petition will be ignored.

If the government is going to ignore the people and make excuses for their unpopular decisions then petition systems need to be scrapped as their just giving people false hope that their petition will invoke changes in policy
