We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Save the Norfolk Broads. More details

The Pike Anglers Club of Great Britain is calling for the government to make funding available for sea defences on the Norfolk coast to ensure that the Upper Thurne and its historically-important fisheries are protected from rising sea levels. If defences are abandoned Hickling Broad, Horsey Mere, the Martham Broads and Heigham Sound will be lost. As well as being among Britain's most important pike fisheries, which have produced some of the largest wild pike ever landed, the Upper Thurne and its broads are an internationally-important refuge for over-wintering wildfowl. The villages of Potter Heigham, Waxham, Eccles, Sea Palling, Horsey and Hickling will also be lost, along with thousands of acres of farmland should defences be abandoned. Funding should be made available as a matter of urgency to save them.
