The arms contract between BAE Systems and the government of Saudi Arabia was under investigation by the Serious Fraud Office for over a year before the investigation was halted in the "national interest" as it may have threatened good relations with the Saudi government. This SFO investigation must be allowed to continue to its logical end and political concerns should not prevent its continuation.
