We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to look at alternative solutions to dualling the A1237 ring road around York. More details

More details from petition creator

Although dualling may temporarily ease congestion on the ring road, the dualling would also unleash suppressed demand, so increasing the number of vehicle journeys along it. The millions of pounds required for such a project could be used instead to invest funds in public transport to help reduce congestion on the current ring road.
