We believe that television has a huge impact on our society and that broadcasters help to create the culture of violence and aggression that causes so much concern. For 3 years running (2005/06/07) Ofcom has found, in its Communications Market review, that the majority of people believe there is too much violence and swearing on TV. And this despite their Code which states (Clause 2.4) that "programmes must not include material that glamorises violent .. or seriously antisocial behaviour."
