Public transport, particularly in the South East, is already operating beyond its capacity at peak times. This petition calls on the Prime Minister to ensure that, before further motorists are forced to abandon their cars by road pricing or other measures, that steps are taken to ensure that there are improvements to public transport capacity, routes, timings and reliability before the implementation of whatever scheme is chosen.
