ADDITIVES banned from childrens foods are being used in baby medicines including Calpol.
A “cocktail” of synthetic dyes, preservatives and sweeteners was found in cough syrups, paracetamol tablets and teething gels aimed at the under-threes.
Some can cause allergies, asthma and skin reactions or have a mild laxative effect.
It seems food and drug manufacturers operate under different rules — which is crazy.
As parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, we need to group together to get the government to stop this. This loophole in the law should not exist!
