Ken Dodd is comedian of over 50 years standing. He is a Son of Liverpool - Born and bred there and still living in the family home in Knotty Ash.

Throughout his time in the entertainment industry he has done considerable work on behalf of various Charities.

As Liverpool becomes European Capital of Culture in 2008 what more fitting tribute than to see one of its most famous Sons being Knighted.
