When i was in hospital recently i had to have 8 blood transfusions, only i was given 8 units of the wrong blood because my antibodies had not been picked up. My antibodies are on the database in Leeds but it needs to be national so its in every hospital so that this does not happen again. I survived but the next person might not be so lucky! It could be your Mum, Dad, Son, Daughter or Grandparents next. Stop this mistake happening again!!
